Here’s a look at Mr and Mrs McNaughton’s beautiful and stunning kitchen design that we designed for their home in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire. For this large-scale job, we worked closely with the client who already had a specific idea of what they wanted, to refine their existing ideas and create a design that fitted the space and required functionality. The details of the job and feedback from the client are below.
In addition to the kitchen we designed, the client opted for a Neff integrated double oven, Neff induction hob, prima integrated 70/30 fridge/freezer, franke 1.5 largo undermount sink, franke bern tap, and a built in extractor hood (all arranged by the client). Mrs McNaughton: “The Caddisfly Kitchen design team were always really good. Nothing was too much bother.”

This kitchen is a sleek, modern handleless kitchen, with the wall and base units supplied in truffle and the tall units and shelves in pergamon, with white worktops and upstands. Mr and Mrs McNaughton already had some ideas about what they wanted to do before contacting Caddisfly – so the design process was expedited, and was about refining the existing ideas and best using the available space. ”The kitchen is fantastic! We're really pleased! I guess we were a little bit different from some other clients - we'd made our own drawings, and we very much knew what we wanted. We showed the drawings and designs, and the design team went over some of the final details and made some recommendations of things that might work better than what we'd suggested. It was a really quick and easy process - it took two visits to finalise designs.
